![]() Robert T. Kramer D.M.D., F.A.C.D. and his wife, Susan, returned to their hometown in 1991 having accepted an invitation to purchase the dental practice of Dr. Calvin Taylor which was founded in 1954. Dr. Kramer immediately began to expand the scope of services that were being provided by offering a full range of cosmetic dental procedures as a creative outlet and finding a niche for his pediatric and phobic clientele. He has been a clinical instructor in the Harrisburg Area Community College Dental Hygiene Program since 1991 where he also provides an annual lecture on cosmetic dentistry and tooth whitening. His wife is a 1993 graduate of the program and serves as a clinical instructor as well. Dr. Kramer has been active in many professional, scholastic, honorary, and community organizations since his undergraduate days at the University of Pittsburgh. He served as President of his fraternity, Phi Gamma Delta, and as a member of Pitt's Student Government Board. He was admitted to the university's Honor's College, Omicron Delta Kappa Honorary Society, Druids, and played midfield for the lacrosse team. During his tenure at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine Dr. Kramer completed the school's esteemed program in Dental Anesthesiology as well as its Certificate Program in Human Anatomy. He received both the Brodie Award for Clinical Competence and the Zugsmith Memorial Award for Meritorious Achievements upon graduation. He is currently a member of the American Dental Association, the Pennsylvania Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and the Harrisburg Area Dental Association, where he is currently it's immediate past president. In October 2000 he was admitted to the American College of Dentistry, an honor shared by only 3.5% of all dentists. Dr. Kramer is committed to his community as well. He was the founding Director of the non-profit Dental Check Up Center in Hall Manor where the oral health care of those in need are served. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Friends of Fort Hunter and sits on the Board of Trustees for the Museum as well. He is active in the Harrisburg Area Road Runners Club (so that he can keep up with his wife who ran the 1999 Boston Marathon) and serves on the Susquehanna Township Zoning Hearing Board. As Susquehanna Township School District's Dentist he provides hundreds of dental screenings to the students. His newest edition, Gunnar Banks Kramer, was born on September 12, 2000. He now has a little protégé to share in his love for working around their family farm, running, fishing, and collecting antiques. ![]() Dr. David A. Ditty D.M.D, a Harrisburg native, graduated from Central Dauphin High School in 1985. He completed his BS and D.M.D degrees from the University of Pittsburgh in 1989 and 1993 respectively. Dr. Ditty has been in general practice since 1994 and formed a partnership with Dr’s Kramer and Shirley in 1999. Dr. Ditty holds membership in the American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, Harrisburg Area Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry. Beyond the office, Dr. Ditty enjoys freshwater fishing, particularly fly fishing for local trout. He also devotes time to woodworking and traveling. He resides in Hummelstown with his wife Lisa. ![]() Dr. Eric L. Shirley a native of Latrobe, Pennsylvania graduated with BS and D.M.D degrees from the University of Pittsburgh. Upon completing Dental School in 1991, he served three years in the U.S. Navy Dental Corps. Dr. Shirley entered private practice with his dental school classmate Robert T. Kramer D.M.D in 1994. Professionally, Dr. Shirley has served as the chairman of the Pennsylvania Dental Association’s New Dentist Committee, and is currently the fifth district representative to the Council on Dental Care Programs for the PDA. He is the current president of the Harrisburg Area Dental Society. Dr. Shirley also holds membership in the Harrisburg Dental Society, Pennsylvania Dental Association, American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. Dr. Shirley, his wife Leigh and two children reside in Lower Paxton Township. He enjoys volleyball, hockey and coaching his son’s soccer team.
